Metro cities are full of High rise buildings recent surveys show that current escape provisions provided are inadequate. Evacuation of Buildings in the event of fire, each minute counts. In such an event, the first reflexes of the building's occupants at all floor levels is to escape. People rush toward exits which, in many cases are not in sufficient numbers or are difficult to reach. Walls of flame and smoke suffocate them. They knock each other over and tread on one another to find by all means possible an exit; every one recalls terrible images of people throwing themselves from the windows to prevent being burned alive. The Escape Chute is a device which aids in the mass and rapid evacuation of people from high rise structures, where one chute is capable of evacuating some 375 evacuees from a high rise building in 15 to 20 minutes.
